Marshall Crenshaw’s 1982 live album Thank You Rock Fans!! has won the vote to be the next official limited and numbered Run Out Groove title.

Run Out Groove

This unreleased live performance, discovered sitting in the Warner vaults for 35 years, was recorded while Marshall was touring his self-titled Warner Brothers debut album in 1982. Sourced from the original analogue master tapes and mixed by power-pop guru Chris Stamey, the album will have lacquers cut at Sam Phillips Recording Service in Memphis by mastering engineer Jeff Powell.

Each month, Run Out Groove gives fans the chance to vote on the label’s next high-quality vinyl pressing, chosen from selections of unreleased material, reissues of out-of-print titles or brand new collections compiled from the Warner Music vault.

“I just got the word that my live album, recorded in 1982, Thank You, Rock Fans!! has won the vote and will be released soon on Run Out Groove vinyl,” said Crenshaw who co-produced this live discovery. “So much winning! It’s amazing. I’m grateful to everyone that showed interest, and want to give a huge thanks to Matthew Block for putting the whole thing in motion in the first place, and for striving for ultra-high quality at every step…”

Thank You, Rock Fans!! is available to order exclusively via the Run Out Groove website until 2 September and will be limited and numbered based on total orders taken at the end of the pre-order period. After the pre-order closes, the only way to purchase a copy will be via participating music retailers across the US, while supplies last.

Below is a list of titles fans are able to vote on this month:

Delaney & Bonnie & Friends – Motel Shot Expanded: Out of print on vinyl since the original 1971 release, the 2LP set would include a second disc of acoustic outtakes making their debut on vinyl, be pressed on 180g vinyl and come with rare alternate cover art released only in France.
